Dr. Usher is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology within the University of North Carolina’s School of Medicine. She also serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor within UNC’s School of Nursing. Dr Usher is the Pain and Symptom Care Nurse Consultant for adult patients within the University of North Carolina’s Hospital System. She previously practiced nursing in both rural and urban settings with a clinical background spanning more than 30 years. Her teaching experiences come from Penn State University, East Tennessee University and, most recently from University of North Carolina Schools of Medicine and Nursing at Chapel Hill.
